Hulda Björk Garðarsdóttir, sopran Hulda Björk Garðarsdóttir studerte cello og sang i hennes hjemby, Akureyri, på den lokale musikk skole og senere ved Reykjavík Academy of Sang og Vocal Arts. Hun fortsatte sin vokal opplæring ved Hochschule der Künste i Berlin og The Royal Academy of Music i London hvor hun fullførte Dip RAM med utmerkelse. Hulda Björk er svært aktiv på konsert plattformen både på Island og i utlandet. Med Fífilbrekkuhópurinn (The Valley Gruppe) ga hun en rekke konserter med sanger av Atli Heimir Sveinsson til Jonas Hallgrímsson poesi for å feire Islanske poeters 200-årsjubile. Blant Hulda Björk's store sukksesser er Messias med den Islandske Philharmonic Society, Petite Messe Solennelle med Canzonetta Nova Choir i Finland, Mozarts Requiem med Sjostakovitsj-Filharmonien i St. Petersburg og Brahms 'Requiem med Lutoslawski Filharmonien i Wroclaw, Polen. Hulda Björk  debuterte som Susanna i Figaros bryllup ved Garsington Opera Festival. På Amersham Festival i London sang hun Fiordiligi i Cosi fan tutte. Som spesiell gjest hun dukket opp i hovedrollen i Janáček's Jenůfa ved Den Norske Opera House i Oslo. Hun ble tilbudt en to års kontrakt med den islandske Opera i Reykjavik, hvor hun sang rollene som Violetta i La Traviata, Anna Trulove i The Rake's Progress, Governess i Turn of the Screw, Micaëla i Carmen og Johanna i Sweeney Todd. Blant de CD Hulda Björk vises er opptak av islandske sanger; Ég tente í anda liðna tíð med Jonas Ingimundarson og Íslands minni med The Valley Group. Med den islandske Operakor og Island Symfoniorkester hun er en av solistene på en innspilling av Mendelsohn's Elias. Hennes siste prosjekt er Anne Trulove i The Rake's Progress eller "Rucklarens väg" i Malmö Sverige januar 2010. I juli vil hun synge rollen som Governess i Turn of the Screw på The Abbey of Pont Levoy i Frankrike.

Among Hulda Björk's oratorio appearances are Messiah with the Icelandic Philharmonic Society, Petite Messe Solennelle with the Canzonetta Nova Choir in Finland, Mozart's Requiem with the Shostakovich Philharmonic in St. Petersburg and Brahms' Requiem with the Lutoslawski Philharmonic in Wroclaw, Poland. Hulda Björk made her operatic debut as Susanna in the Marriage of Figaro at Garsington Opera Festival. At the Amersham Festival in London she sang Fiordiligi in Cosi fan tutte. As a special guest she appeared in the title role in Janáček's Jenůfa at the Norwegian Opera House in Oslo. She was offered a two year contract with the Icelandic Opera in Reykjavík where she sang roles such as Violetta in La Traviata, Anna Trulove in The Rake's Progress, Governess in Turn of the Screw, Micaëla in Carmen and Johanna in Sweeney Todd. Among the CDs Hulda Björk appears on are recordings of Icelandic songs; Ég lít í anda liðna tíð with Jónas Ingimundarson and Íslands minni with The Valley Group. With the Icelandic Opera Choir and Icelandic Symphony Orchestra she is one of the soloists on a recording of Mendelsohn's Elijah. In July she will sing the role of Governess in Turn of the Screw at The Abbey of Pont Levoy in France.
