Sune Hjerrild, tenor

Diplomuddannet sanger fra DKDM og i 2002 fra Opera Akademiet i København.

 

Han er som eneste dansker blevet udvalgt til både Placido Domingo Opera Contest,  BBC Cardiff Singer of the World, og nu senest Luciano Pavarotti Voice Competition i Modena.

 

Dette har ført gode internationale opgaver med sig, som f.eks. Tamino i Mozarts ”Tryllefløjten”, dirigeret af Sir Neville Mariner på Megaron Operaen i Athen. Desuden har han sunget på Operaen i Sidney, Operaen i Limoges, Opera Lyrique de Tourcoing (i anledning af at Lille var Officiel EU kulturby), Operaerne i Wuppertal, Heilbron, og Leipzig, Operaen i Napoli, L’Auditorium del Conciliazione i Rom, samt som gæstesolist  på Jyske Opera og Det Kongelige Teater.  I 2009 er han inviteret tilbage for at synge Alfredo i La Traviata på Jyske Opera.

 

Sune Hjerrild er meget brugt til koncerter både herhjemme og i udlandet, og ser frem til engagementer bl.a. med Singapore Symphony Orchestra. Her skal han synge Faust i Berlioz’ ”La Damnation de Faust”. For nylig har han også sunget Berlioz i ”L’enfance du Criste” med den internationalt anerkendte dirigent Matthew Best.

 

Sune Hjerrild har ligeledes optrådt på den præstigefyldte Musikfestival på Grand Canaria og Tenerife, ligesom han har sunget ved Brooklyn Academy of Music Festival (BAM) i New York, ved den berømte Kirkemusikfestival i Monreale på Sicilien, samt ved Østersø festivalerne i 2005 og 2006 med Sveriges Radio Symfoniorkester.

 

Sune Hjerrild har sunget med dirigenter som Manfred Honeck, Josef Bychkov, Janos Acs, Sir Neville Marriner, Francesco La Vecchia, Gerd Albrecht, Jeffrey Tate, Herbert Blomstedt, Benjamin Zander, Friedrich Haider, Matthew Best mfl.

He is the only Dane was selected for both Placido Domingo Opera Contest, the BBC Cardiff Singer of the World, and most recently Luciano Pavarotti Voice Competition in Modena.

This has resulted in good international assignments with them, such as. Tamino in Mozart's Magic Flute, conducted by Sir Neville Mariner at Megaron Opera in Athens. Moreover, he has sung at the Opera in Sydney, the Opera in Limoges, Opera Lyrique de Tourcoing (on the occasion of the Lesser was official cultural capital), operas in Wuppertal, Heilbronn and Leipzig Opera in Naples, L'Auditorium del Conciliazione in Rome, as well as guest soloist at the Royal Opera and the Royal Theater. In 2009 he was invited back to sing Alfredo in La Traviata at the Royal Opera.

Sune Hjerrild is widely used for concerts both at home and abroad, and looks forward to the exposure including with the Singapore Symphony Orchestra. He will sing Faust in Berlioz's "La Damnation de Faust". Recently he has also sung in Berlioz 'L'Enfance du Crist "with the internationally renowned conductor Matthew Best.

Sune Hjerrild has also appeared on the prestigious music festival in Grand Canaria and Tenerife, and he has sung at the Brooklyn Academy of Music Festival (BAM) in New York at the famous Church Music Festival in Monreale in Sicily, and in the Baltic Sea Festival in 2005 and 2006 Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra.
